Equinox: A show of Equals.
Equinox: (latin) aequus (equal) + nox (night)
Gretchen and I have been working on things that go round for a while. It is about time that we show together and illustrate our new work; which we're both very excited about. Gretchen's mandala's have been inspired by travelling in india, but are also carrying on her "wheel of life" series.
Chad's Roundels are geared towards the many layered wheels of pattern and mechanism. the patterns created with simple optic molds, repeated throughout at composition allow one to enjoy the scintillating and mesmerizing world of glassmaking. Going from the individual microcosm, my work also operates on a macrcosmic scale, trying to include the movement of celestial bodies in the design of the piece.

Starting with an Opening Reception on Equinox: sept 23 (7-10pm)- till the Closing Party, Oct 15 (7-10pm with fire spinning at 9pm).
