Roundel Room Projects
Louisville Glassworks 1st Floor Event Space
2009

Roundel Room Chandelier, Pillar Groupings

Picture
I was comissioned to do a ceiling peice for the first floor of glassworks.  It is directly above the dancefloor and is anchored into the celiing with an incandescent light in the very middle.  The metal is all hand forged and finished with a bright brushed finish.  Each Roundel is 16-19 inches across and feature a stiplpled bit decoration.  There are a total of 10 blown pieces for the chandelier.

The Cement pillars frame the dance floor.  i did a freize  around the top of two of these structural concrete colums (which run from the basement to the top floor of glassworks.  I often sell the roundels straight off the wall, so usually have two dozen plates of varying size and color application.

"The Roundel Wall" Roundel Room, Glassworks.

Pillars... a good way to get the plates off the wall and into the room!
